Hi! I'm Christie, the human behind the business Scribble and Slab.

 

I’m a retired public school art educator, hand builder, and surface designer drawn to texture, pattern, storytelling, and the small details that make a piece feel personal.

 

Every mug, bowl, tray, and object I create starts with curiosity and the belief that clay carries memory long after it leaves the studio.

As my work evolved, I began designing the tools I wished existed for my own process.

 

Rollers, texture mats, stamps, templates, and custom tools became part of the language of my pottery, helping me build layered surfaces and more personal forms. Before long, other potters began asking for those same tools, and Scribble & Slab grew naturally from there.
